2nd Year Project, Rules

Image
Ken Scale Ken Scale is on of the oldest rules that has been applied in japan. I learned this one by research on Kenzo Tange's House. How Ken Scale works its incredible, its basic on human scale, that one ken could fit one person outspread and two people sit. Its basic on tatami too, where the owner arranged the tatami according to the people inside the house, and the function of the room. Then we learned to developed it more on the real house, for client. Many changes has been made for this rule by me, the reason itself its the tatami. People around Indonesia rarely use that, and the occasion itself, its for winter in Japan. The last two diagram its how it developed for then it can be applied to many things, such as Leveling, Split, and Boundaries between the rooms. Ken Scale is really important if we talking about minimalism on the room, because by its form, we can precisely making room for what, for what occasion and for how much people will be there.

Pasar Baru is one of the oldest market located in Jakarta. Since 1820, its has been the place that people looked for, moreover the "rich" one. The time goes by, Pasar Baru standstill at its place, telling the understandable history to the people inside it. Keep talking we cannot hear it, keep moving we cannot stop it, keep changing we cannot hold it. Does it has to happen ?  Or wether it is has to happen       "Bottom - up" the method we use to decrypt of what it is with Pasar Baru. Learning from the actor, form, and many pattern, decrypting pasar baru seems possible now. Learning from the micro that leave the trace from how the lived the Pasar Baru, later on leading to the Issue we should find.
