Floating Market Baiton Inn

Brief

An alternative story about a place of leisure located in Kalimantan in the context of Indonesia's new capital city. Located in floating market, the design explain how the experience is built to enjoy food by buying from the market, cooking, and enjoying food.

This leisure builds community lifestyle experiences, especially in terms of food. The maritime context of the floating market produces ship-based life, so human movement and human space are very attached to ships. Ships are not only a means of transportation, but also a tool for storing food, managing food, selling food, to enjoying food. From the analysis, we try to dissect ship space to find the connection between humans and food in the context of floating maritime markets and further enhance the experience so that it can be enjoyed by migrants without destroying a pre-existing context.

The ship is divided by a lattice to distinguish luggage, and a bucket to hold smaller fruits so they are not scattered. The buyer can feel the goods he wants to buy before finally buying. The minimal interaction is the presence of togetherness in enjoying food, because of the water context and the limitations of the shape of the ship.
From dissecting the shape of the ship based on its present function, the ship's function can be increased to allow for more interaction from each of its users. The results of dissecting the ship obtained a plug and play system that can unite one ship with another ship so as to enhance the experience of enjoying food and the use of ships in carrying, storing and managing food.
